Many cosmetic procedures in dentistry involve cutting away healthy tooth structure to give a cosmetic outcome for the patient – so in these cases, when you see before and after photos, what isn’t shown is the photo in the middle, showing the tooth structure that was removed. This is because if you saw that photo, then you probably wouldn’t have the procedure done yourself! Having said all that, be aware that sometimes tooth structure removal is unavoidable but often I think it can be avoided.

Below are some examples of the cosmetic work performed by Dr David Delac. The key thing to be aware of in these cases is that, other than the final case, all the cosmetic outcomes were achieved with zero tooth structure removal – this means the procedures performed do not harm the tooth in anyway and are reversible and are achieved in one appointment and are a lot more cost effective than other procedures and don’t require injections!
